Product Manager, Internals

What you’ll do:

Manage product development marketing activities as they apply to new and existing internal products

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities      

•        Generate and communicate product ideas and concepts, and Marketing Requirement Documents for new products and improvements to existing products

•        Collaborate with R&D&T throughout design and development phases

•        Develop Marketing messaging for new products

•        Develop and Execute Product Marketing Plans, manage product phase-in/-out and formulate pricing strategies

•        Provide quantitative analyses for product launch planning & demand forecasting on global basis

•        Work collaboratively with the Surgical Education and Training Manager and Education & Training department; provide information required for Sales Force on key messages & selling tips. Define Education & Training needs & schedules for new product launches

•        Define product labeling & packaging requirements

•        Obtain input & coordinate cross-functional trade-off decisions to define product marketing requirements & improvement opportunities from internal & external customers. Gain cross-functional approvals

•        Create programs & policies for products, including exchange/upgrades & warranties prior to launch, and as needed including full financial impact analysis. Gain cross-functional approvals

•        Conduct market research to define new products & accessories needs/requirements

•        Conduct early sample demo user focus groups throughout development phase & market preference testing prior to launch

•        Represent Marketing & Sales in Core Teams to provide market-driven product requirements on a global basis

•        Develop communication plans & messaging for products & programs to execute through corporate marketing including: video, collateral, website, sales presentations, & other media

Additional requirements for Senior position:

•        Analyze competitive information, & in collaboration with Director Strategic Marketing develop sales & marketing strategies and responses to competitive product launches

•        In collaboration with Director Strategic Marketing, develop & execute product launches by driving the creation of market research, branding & market segmentation studies to support creation of long range roadmap

•        Partner with Director Strategic Marketing & Corporate Marketing to develop marketing communications and promotional strategies and tactics designed to emphasize product benefits, positioning and overall branding. Design and track programs, policy and product development

 

Travelling Requirement     Travel required to support international conferences and NA center support and focus groups etc. Travel time estimated at 10-20%.

 

What you bring to the team:

Further Education  

Bachelors degree, preferably in healthcare, education, science or business

Postdoctoral degree

 

Work Experience     Minimum of one year of business experience, preferably in the healthcare field, ideally hospital or lab experience

Minimum of three years of business experience

Personal Competencies    

Must be an effective communicator

Emphasis on technical skills

 

Social Competencies        

Able to engage effectively across all skill/knowledge levels

Leadership Competencies

Persuasive orator

Professional Competencies        

Experience in hospital environment in healthcare preferred, ideally surgical experience

Sales and Marketing a plus

Language(s) / Level         Good working knowledge of written and spoken English

Spanish a plus

 

IT skills        Good working knowledge of MS Office, Skype for Business

 

Further Requirements       Able to travel on extended trips at home and overseas
