Director, People Insights and Innovation

Purpose of role: To support Sonova’s desire towards implementing best in class analytics organization and culture, this role is considered critical for Sonova Human Resources and is aimed at driving the analytics transformation, directing strategic HR data analysis activities, and building long-term analytics, Digital and AI strategy across the HR community and beyond. By driving excellence in analytics and innovation, we improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of talent decision making and ultimately provide the right employee and customer experience.

Main Tasks and Responsibities:

  • Establish and lead the People Insights and Innovation function and build a multi-year analytical capability model to support strategic decision-making across Sonova
  • Identify and implement advanced analytics tools and techniques to drive new and greater knowledge and insights that can be integrated into our human capital processes and practices
  • Continue the evolution of the team into a world-class human capital analytics team with a focus on integration of work streams and development of individual talent
  • Design, develop and execute overall employee listening strategy to ensure employees voices and feedback are heard. Lead all employee surveys at Sonova and build a governance for survey process. Introduce new technologies in survey science and responsible for all parts of the survey process. Partners with leadership in the development of overall EVP and Ex strategy. Translate behavioral and motivation theory into quantitative metrics.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic workforce planning strategy aligned with Sonova’s business objectives. Partner with Talent management and Senior HRBPs in developing a skills-based talent economy and provide recommendations for analytical tools for developing an internal talent marketplace
  • Equip leaders with the information needed to make data-driven decisions by migrating ad-hoc reporting to standard, real-time interactive self-service solutions
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models and KPIs to analyze workforce trends, predict future needs, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Partner with global and local HRBPs and consolidate different analytical methods and improve and optimize current service delivery for better business outcomes
  • Oversee the design and implementation of workforce data ethics and governance and partner very closely with IT and data compliance team
  • Present insights to senior leadership within HR and across the organization and advocate for data-driven decision-making. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting trends and recommendations
  • Build strong relationships with internal (HR and Business) and external groups (e.g., Academia) and industry experts. Collaborate across different business units to gain insights into business needs, challenges, and market trends. Actively participate in external industry forums and networks to stay ahead of emerging trends and best practices in analytics and workforce planning
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, behavioral science, reporting and labor economics and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills
  • Partner with Senior Director, Strategy and Innovation in developing digital roadmap for HR by bringing the best-in-class technologies for HR and increase overall awareness of AI in HR for better employee productivity and experience. Work with key business leaders about AI integrations for a sustainable and scalable global, agile, proprietary platform

 

Education and Skillset:

  • Master’s Degree in one of the fields listed here - Statistics, Psychology (I/O, Social, Sports), Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Behavioral Economics
  • PhD. in the listed fields in basic education requirement is highly preferred
  • 10+ Years in data analytics with proven experience in evidence-based decision making
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Present complex data to both technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Proven experience to work with people from diverse global cultures.
