Financial Controller
Reporting to the Senior Director of Regional Finance, the Financial Controller supports financial reporting and decision-making for multiple regional entities. This role requires strong business acumen to interpret both operational and accounting details, ensuring a deep understanding of financial processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a keen ability to uncover insights. With a strong sense of accountability, they take pride in delivering accurate, timely financial outputs that drive business success.
Responsibilities:

Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the business operations, financial reporting and general ledger structure for multiple reporting entities

Enhance the existing general and subsidiary ledger account reconciliation processes ·

Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules

Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance accounting and financial reporting capabilities

Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed, actively participate in day-to-day Treasury activities

Proactively identify opportunities to improve business results

Champion an effective control environment, including the use of proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Assist in the preparation of client schedules and coordination of annual external audit and internal audits

Partner with the sales and marketing functions via business decision making and strategic planning support

Special projects, ad hoc analysis, and workflow process improvements as required

Develop subject matter expertise in JD Edwards and other supporting applications

Perform other duties as required
More about you:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
-
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with reporting responsibility for one or more entities in a multi-national organization

Time-management, organizational skills, and strict attention to detail

Must exhibit strong sense of ownership, accountability, and desire to excel

Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Leadership Competencies Demonstrated ability to lead projects or teams, even if no direct-reporting relationship
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $88K to 115K. This role is also commission eligible/bonus eligible.
