Lyric Clinical Trainer - West Coast

Lyric Clinical Trainer

Purpose of role:  The Lyric Clinical Trainer will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of the Phonak Lyric sales and profitability objectives by providing audiological and technical training designed to increase Clinician/Dispenser knowledge and skills to fit the Phonak Lyric extended wear product.  The trainer must regularly communicate information on account and competitive activities to sales and marketing personnel and provide effective clinical service to assigned customers.

Main Tasks and Responsibities:

  • Lyric clinical and educational specialist for their geography
  • Play key role in increasing fitter confidence and competence in successfully fitting Phonak Lyric
  • Assess accounts’ physical and clinical equipment along with fitters’ clinical skills and commitment to help sales and marketing with new clinic or expansion decisions
  • Certify fitters who are onboarding are trained to sufficient level to see patients
  • Support sales of Lyric within specified geography; work closely with Account Managers
  • Needs analysis and coaching of Lyric providers through any Lyric KPI shortfalls
  • Maintain strong relationships and rapport with customers within geography
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to ensure all Lyric Clinical needs are met through personal or group product training
  • Provide remote support for customers by phone and e-learnings as required
  • Represent Phonak and speak at national, state and regional meetings
  • Participate in Open Houses and other consumer marketing events
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures for documenting Clinical visits in CRM system on a daily basis
  • Maintain expense reporting weekly and manage specified geography with in OPEX guidelines
  • Work with other Phonak resources when needed; ability to coordinate and use inside and outside resources for complex customer accounts and/or issues
  • Travel up to 75% of the time, sometimes overnight
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education and Skillset:

  • Master’s degree in Audiology, AuD. Preferred  
  • At least 2+ years Clinical Audiological Experience
  • Lyric fitting experience and previous industry  experience a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and a strong willingness to perform and strive for exceptional results
  • Active listening will be key to success in this role
  • Must have good communication and relationship building skills
  • Up to date knowledge and application of information in the field of audiology, hearing science, and amplification
  • Strong public speaking skills preferred
  • License in Audiology with strong experience with hearing instruments required
