Quality Associate


Sonova US is seeking a Quality Associate for our Aurora Operations Distribution Center in Aurora, IL.  In this position you will make an impact on business while improving lives of all ages with hearing devices.  As an entry level Quality Associate, you will perform manufacturing functions associated with inspection, testing, and operation for hearing products to ensure customer satisfaction and quality. Sonova is the third largest manufacturer in Aurora and has been in the community for over 40 years. Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Perform any or all of the following quality functions with Behind The Ear (Sound Delivery System), In the Ear, or Wireless Quality Testing (WQT) functions
    •  Inspection of Sound Delivery System instruments
    • Testing of  Sound Delivery System devices utilizing Pro & Go Software
    • Operation of cShell testing unit
    • Utilization of the WQT systems to test the effectiveness of wireless transmission for hearing instruments
    • Use of SAP ERP system to support the business needs
  • Visually inspect products, identify defects/rejects and escalate as required
  • Active participation in quality improvement processes
  • Initiate process improvements and motivate peers to achieve team goals
  • Meet established individual and team goals
  • Maintain workstation in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
  • Adapt to various positions as business needs require


Your profile:

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience a PLUS, not required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Must be able to follow and understand work instructions
  • Open to change job assignments 
  • Basic computer skills including MS Outlook, SAP, and P&G software (MS Excel and Word a PLUS)
  • Stand, walk or sit up to 8 hours a day
  • Lift weight up to 20 pounds
  • Strong manual dexterity for use of small hand tools and pieces
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions using both hands
  • Excellent vision to read small font, count, verify, and audit inventory locations
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Meet personal and team efficiency goals
  • Collaborate with team memembers and solve problems that arise
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to various positions as business needs require
