Senior Manager, Human Resources
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Human Resources, will lead the Business Partnering and Recruiting functions within clinic operations. This pivotal role will drive HR strategies that support employees across the Sales team. The Senior Manager will oversee a team of two HR Business Partners while directly partnering with one of the territories to enhance talent development, employee engagement, and recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities & Duties
Business Partnering
- Lead and mentor a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring effective support for clinic employees across the Sales and Retail business.
- Collaborate closely with regional leadership to identify and address HR needs, aligning HR strategies with the overall business objectives of AudioNova.
- Drive talent development initiatives, including succession planning and employee development programs, to cultivate a high-performance culture within the organization.
- Implement comprehensive leadership development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of current and future leaders, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline.
- Conduct thorough workforce planning to analyze current and future staffing needs, ensuring the right talent is in place to meet business goals.
- Enhance employee engagement through effective communication strategies, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs that celebrate employee contributions.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and productive workplace environment.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion by implementing best practices in recruitment, retention, and employee development.
- Utilize employee feedback and engagement surveys to inform HR strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with employee needs and organizational goals.
Recruiting:
- Oversee the recruitment function for Hearing Care Professionals, including Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists, as well as front office roles in the clinics.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies designed to attract top talent in the audiology field, ensuring that AudioNova remains competitive in the market.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and create detailed job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements of each role.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet hiring goals, ensuring that the organization is staffed with qualified professionals.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance recruitment processes, including the use of applicant tracking systems and recruitment marketing tools.
Performance Management:
- Utilize performance management principles that includes regular feedback, coaching, and development plans to support employee growth and accountability.
- Use performance metrics and KPIs to determine performance management strategies on business outcomes.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development by providing access to training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, as well as industry standards, to mitigate risks associated with HR practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote ethical behavior and compliance within the organization.
Additional Duties
- Works collaboratively across the organization
- Works closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure all Sonova standards are adhered to
- Operates in compliance with all local, state and Federal laws as well as Company policy and compliance standards
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Certifications:
- SHRM Preferred
Industry/Product Knowledge Required:
- Retail industry experience required
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
Work Experience/Skills:
- Proven experience in business partnering and talent acquisition, preferably within a retail or healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
