Shell Lab Production Associate
Sonova US is seeking a Shell Lab Production Associate at our Aurora Operations Distribution Center in Aurora, IL. In this position you will make an impact on the business while improving lives of all ages with hearing devices. As an entry level Shell Lab Production Associate, you will perform manufacturing functions associated with building In The Ear (ITE) shells and Sound Delivery System (SDS) shells. Sonova is the third largest manufacturer in Aurora and has been in the community for over 40 years. Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform any or all of the following functions
- Shell Sorting-Matching shells to the order
- Cast removal process
- Serial number marking
- Perform CSR for ITE remakes
- Attach/Convert files
- Scan Impressions
- Other responsibilities to include:
- Visually inspect product, identify defects/rejects, and escalate issues as required
- Maintain workstation in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Perform daily workstation clean up
- Active participation in quality improvement processes
- Initiate process improvements and motivate peers to achieve team goals
- Meet established individual and team goals
Your profile:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to stand/walk for an hour per day and sit for up to 7 hours per day
- Strong manual dexterity for use of small hand tools and repetitive motions using both hands
- Excellent vision to read small font, count, verify, and audit inventory locations
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Meet personal and team efficiency goals
- Flexibility to various positions as business needs require
