Senior Diversity and Inclusion Recruitment Manager

Purpose of role: The Sr. Manager, D&I Recruitment will play a critical role in the implementation of strategic efforts designed to support our vision of employing a high performing workforce that leverages an inclusive and equitable workforce.  This role will help source diverse candidate pools and talent pipelines through building relationships with external organizations, ensure job descriptions have inclusive language, delivering training on best practices to hiring managers,  tracking and reporting of key data points in the process to inform decisions, and identifying any existing barriers to achieving DEI goals in recruitment and hiring.

Main Tasks and Responsibities:

  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies that are focused on building a diverse future workforce
  • Coach leaders and HR on D&I recruitment best practices and help build acumen on the topic and drive accountability
  • Consult and support the HR Business Partners and MDs across North America to recruit top executives and key hires on optimal sourcing and search strategies to support our D&I initiatives
  • Coach leaders on D&I recruitment best practices and help build acumen on the topic and drive accountability
  • Establish comprehensive job requirements with inclusive language, create relevant sourcing lists and market mappings to identify diverse and suitable candidates
  • Maintain external relationships with prioritized local and national organizations in support of the sponsorship plan; Lead the development and execution of external surveys (i.e., Military Friendly, Disability Equality Index); Leverage external partnerships to develop D&I best practices
  • Facilitate training for HR and hiring teams on how to implement D&I hiring best practices; Mentor hiring teams on how to apply D&I best practices
  • Develop policy recommendations that promote diversity and equity throughout the recruitment and hiring process
  • Ensure the use of inclusive language in all hiring materials and ensure all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process are equitably accessible
  • Participate and engage in D&I targeted career fairs, hiring events, and workshops that will yield diverse applicant pools
  • Cultivate partnerships with HR and other departments that contribute to the consistent application of D&I best practices in recruitment and hiring
  • Track, analyze, and use key D&I metrics to drive performance improvement in the recruitment and retention processes, preparing reports and summarizing findings and metrics
  • Further develop our systems and defining methodologies to efficiently and effectively search for internal and external talent
  • Build and manage nurturing process for talents in focus (rare profiles, diverse talents, specific capabilities)
  • Build talent communities and an active senior diverse candidate pool where we don’t have a role yet
  • Serve as a spokesperson on DEI topics, and actively communicate and interact with staff and external stakeholders, as requested
  • Member of the D&I US council
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Other projects as assigned

 

 

Education and Skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required, MBA nice but not necessary
  • 5+ years’ experience in recruitment and building networks of diversity hires
  • Previous Human Resources experience and strong interest in Diversity and Inclusion
  • Experience in managing relationships with external community partners
  • Ability to define suitable action plans, manage multiple projects simultaneously, analytical, persistent, following through on action plans designed, ensuring quality of output also under pressure, self-confident
  • Intercultural understanding, ability to interact across all levels of the organization, profound and true interest in people, winning interpersonal style, excellent listening skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships across the enterprise
  • Experience and familiarity with diversity and inclusion efforts, Affirmative Action, and the EEOC
  • Proven ability to influence when necessary to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills; written and spoken, articulate, persuasive, and able to communicate complex matters in a straightforward manner
  • Ability to promptly and accurately assess candidates skill levels, interests and motives
  • MS Office / social media savviness / Recruiting tools / MS Office
  • SAP Success Factors experience preferred
