Senior FP&A Manager
Aurora, IL – Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
The Senior FP&A Manager leads the OPEX budgeting process and ongoing variance-to-plan analysis for wholesale teams and corporate functions. This role serves as a strategic finance partner to commercial and sales channels, driving financial planning, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making across a complex, matrixed organization. This role plays a key part in improving financial performance, supporting growth initiatives, and enabling operational efficiency through strong financial insights and business partnership.
Responsibilities:

Lead the annual OPEX budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, coordinating inputs across stakeholders

Manage headcount planning and budgeting processes

Conduct monthly variance analysis and communicate insights with clear recommendations

Support Monthly Business Reviews with financial data, KPIs, and performance insights

Analyze financial performance including OPEX, EBIT, and key business drivers

Partner with Sales Analytics and business teams to provide a comprehensive financial view

Present financial insights to senior leadership using clear, executive-ready materials

Partner with Finance leadership to resolve data integrity and reporting issues within SAP

Lead investigations into financial discrepancies and implement solutions aligned with company policies

Support and lead finance-related SCRUM or project-based initiatives focused on performance improvement

Serve as a key FP&A business partner to senior leadership, including commercial and operational teams
-
Provide financial guidance on investments, cost optimization, and strategic initiatives
-
Support automation and process improvement initiatives within finance
More about you:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
-
8–10 years of progressive FP&A experience in complex environments
-
Strong experience with SAP, SAP BW, and financial data analysis tools
-
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
-
Experience working with large datasets and identifying root causes of variances
-
Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Nice to have:

Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Experience with tools such as Cognos, Salesforce, Hyperion, or similar systems
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $122,408 – $153,010 annually. This role is also bonus eligible.
