Senior Security Specialist, Security Operations

As a Senior IT Security Specialist within our Security Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our global IT landscape. Working as a senior member of our EMEA SOC team, you will lead incident response efforts, strengthen our detection and monitoring capabilities, and act as a trusted expert during critical security events.
In return for your deep technical expertise and decisive leadership, you will gain the opportunity to shape and continuously improve our security operations framework, collaborate with international teams, and directly protect the systems that enable millions of people to stay connected to the world around them.


More about the role:

 

  • Detect, assess and respond to cyber security events and incidents across the enterprise
  • Lead incident response activities, coordinating containment, escalation and remediation efforts
  • Analyze and triage logs and alerts from multiple sources, including infrastructure, endpoints and applications
  • Drive continuous improvement of monitoring, detection and SIEM capabilities
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies and emergency response procedures
  • Provide meaningful security metrics and reporting to management and key stakeholders

 


More about you:


Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a security operations or security management role
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, attack and defense techniques, and vulnerability management
  • Proven experience leading incident response in complex enterprise environments
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage, cloud – IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
  • Familiarity with standards such as OWASP, NIST and CIS benchmarks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

 

Preferred:

  • Professional security certifications (e.g. GIAC/GCIH, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNA)
  • CISSP or MCSE
  • Experience working with external security service providers and threat intelligence resources
  • Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts

 


You are analytical, structured and quality-driven, with the confidence to lead during high-pressure situations. You communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and business audiences and are motivated by continuous improvement.
