Senior Sustainability Manager
About the role
At Sonova, we are committed to advancing sustainability across our global operations. As part of our Group Sustainability/ESG team, we are seeking a Senior Sustainability Manager to lead and shape our environmental initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impactful change, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to Sonova’s long-term ESG strategy.
In this role, you will lead environmental sustainability initiatives across Sonova worldwide. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and innovation—ensuring that our environmental commitments are translated into measurable outcomes and integrated into our core business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional projects aligned with Sonova’s ESG targets and initiatives
- Conduct and oversee Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental strategy, targets, and reporting
- Act as an internal advisor and thought leader on ESG topics
- Coordinate the environmental section of Sonova’s Annual Report
- Lead the ESG reporting and analysis team
- Stay ahead of global ESG trends and recommend actionable improvements
- Serve as deputy to the Head of ESG Reporting and report directly to the VP
Your Profile:
- Hold a degree in Business or Science and bring solid experience in sustainability or program management, preferably within electronic manufacturing.
- Have a strong project management and lean management skills, with a proven track record of leading complex environmental initiatives.
- Well-versed in global ESG legislation and regulatory developments, and proficient in MS Office and sustainability-related software tools.
- Combine analytical thinking and business acumen with the ability to identify and implement data-driven improvements.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Lead by influence, foster collaboration across teams, and thrive in a global, networked environment.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to achieving environmentally sound economic outcomes.
