Sonova Audiological Care Denmark is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. As part of an international group operating in more than 100 countries with over 17,000 colleagues, we are the leading private provider of hearing aids in Denmark. Our mission is to break down barriers to the usage of hearing aids.

With around 70 hearing centers across the country and 172 talented colleagues, we provide exceptional service to our customers. While most of our team members are in the field, 29 of us are based in our Scandinavian headquarters in Charlottenlund – where you will join as part of our 7-member finance team as well being part of the Scandinavian Management Team

Finance Director
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Finance Director to join our Scandinavian team. As the leading financial professional in the region, you will work closely with the Managing Director Scandinavia, serve as a daily sparring partner, and help shape our financial strategy. You will also manage a talented Finance team of 6 located in Denmark plus 2 Store Auditors located in Denmark and Sweden. You will report to Sr. Director Finance Europe.  

You will experience a high level of trust and responsibility while collaborating with dedicated and professional colleagues globally who are ready to support you whenever needed.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:


Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning:

  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Develop and implement planning and control procedures, including cost accounting systems.

  • Analyze and report variances.

Finance & Controlling:

  • Manage the company’s financial plans, policies, internal controls, and accounting practices (local legislation and IFRS).

  • Maintain relationships with local bank, insurance companies etc.

  • Ensure accurate filing of tax reports and declarations.

  • Prepare financial and performance reports for local management and corporate headquarters.

  • Hands-on approach in regards of daily finance tasks

Reporting:

  • Conduct financial reporting and business performance reviews.

  • Prepare reports on income, expenses, and earnings, and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.

Audit:

  • Coordinate and conduct annual audits with external auditors for statutory and group reporting requirements.

Leadership:

  • Lead the Finance team in Denmark and Sweden, collaborating closely with external Shared Service Center.

Compliance:

  • Act as the local compliance agent and primary point of contact for bribery-related issues.

 

What  makes you a great fir?

 

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:

 

  • Have a strong financial background with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related major (MSc or Certified Accountant credentials are a bonus).

  • Bring 7-10 years of experience from Financial Controlling, ideally from a global company.

  • Are a reliable, service-minded team player with a hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.

  • Communicate with empathy, building trust and strong relationships with colleagues, even remotely.

  • Can balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail, making data-driven decisions with confidence.

  • Manage workloads effectively, staying structured yet flexible when priorities shift.

  • Thrive in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating across teams and stakeholders.

  • Are fluent in English and Danish or Swedish, enabling seamless communication globally and locally.

  • Experienced with MS Office and superuser in Excel

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and Navision is a benefit
