About Audiological Care
Audiological Care is our Retail & Direct to Consumer division, employing close to 9,000 people, serving more than two million people through more than 3,600 audiological stores as well as numerous shop-in-shops, parttime locations, and mobile clinics in 20 countries across five continents. About the role and mission
The Senior Director of Sales and Operations, Sonova Germany, is a key leadership role responsible for the development and execution of the national sales strategy for Geers. The position ensures that these retail brands achieve their sales targets in alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals. The focus is on leading the sales organization as well as the areas of store construction and technology to drive profitable growth and operational excellence across these functions. The mission of the Senior Director is to lead the sales organization to achieve sustainable growth, improve overall store performance, and optimize the sales network. This role will play a crucial part in increasing market share and delivering on the national sales strategy, with the aim of achieving strong sales growth and enhancing profitability across the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Sales Performance - lead the team to meet sales targets and defined objectives.
- Budget and Resources - oversee the annual budget, ensuring profitability and proper phasing.
- Market and Business Development - develop commercial strategy for various regulatory scenarios while maintaining leadership.
- Continuous Improvement - foster a culture of continuous improvement in sales and operations.
- Sales and Marketing management:
- interact closely with the Heads of Regions in Sales and initiating innovative action plans, implements initiatives in collaboration with the marketing tea.
- develop and maintain close client relationship management by the network of sales points across the country
- identify potentials for the optimization of economic and customer-oriented market cultivation
- participate in community events (seminars, conventions, store openings, etc.) as well as to frequently visit the points of sale
- Responsible for continuous market and competitor observation and alignment
Ideal Candidate
- Proven leadership experience (at least 10 years) in a service retail environment (e.g., healthcare, optical, consumer services) with a focus
on customer engagement and satisfaction. - Track record in identifying, developing, and executing business opportunities that drive sales growth and enhance competitive advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in sales management, marketing strategy, and execution, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams to embrace operational changes and quality improvement initiatives.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter, stress-resistant, holistic work approach, pragmatism, global mindset and local sensitivity.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop high-performing teams while fostering
a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Result oriented with entrepreneurial and strong operational skills.
- University degree in business administration or comparable.
