Doctor of Audiology Externship (Research Audiologist I)

What you'll do:

Clinical assessment & research studies within explorative technology projects for new hearing instruments, algorithms, accessories, fitting systems and evaluation procedures

Main responsibility

•        Plan and conduct internal clinical research studies

•        Assist in planning, monitoring and supporting external clinical studies

Additional responsibilities:

•        Support R&D team in audiological and clinical questions

•        Support R&D team in HQ for clinical verification of prototypes

•        Maintain laboratory/clinic

•        Collect know-how in competitive products & their software

•        Support Lyric Clinical Team at HQ and PARC

 

 

What you'll bring to the team:

•        Bachelor’s degree

•        Completion of three (3) years in a doctoral level audiology program or two (2) years in an accelerated doctoral level audiology program   Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.)

•        Statistics, medical basics

•        Biometrics

•        Database creation/management (Excel, SQL, Saleforce, etc.)

•        Cloud based patient  data management tools

•        Experience in hearing aid fitting & audiology

•        Experience in setup of clinical research studies

•        Experience in fitting and dispensing Lyric

•        Experience in working with biometric devices

•        Good written and oral communication skills

•        Strong intrinsic motivation

•        Autonomous work-style

•        Innovation-driven

•        Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

•        Ability to handle multiple complex situations concurrently        

•        Inspiring team-player

•        Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary groups

•        Good communication skills on a professional (and academic) level     

                 

•        Experience in hearing aid fitting & audiology

•        Experience in setup of clinical research studies         Licensed for dispensing in California

English (fluent)      German (basic skills)

•        Extensive experience and skill with basic audiological equipment, including otoscopes, audiometers, tympanometers, hearing aid analyzers, real-ear measurement systems, and hearing aid programmers

•        High degree of computer literacy, Office applications, clinical database,… Ear impression, ear scanners; cerumen management
