Intern Electroacoustics (m/f/d)

Are you studying electrical engineering, electroacoustics or a related subject and would like to deepen your passion for audio in an exciting industrial internship? For our location in Wedemark, we are currently looking for an intern (m/f/d) who enjoys working on development projects together with our experts and learning new things in the process. More than 90 employees work every day to develop new products under the Sennheiser brand. Your tasks:

As part of various development projects, you will support us in the following tasks:

  • Implementation of software for automatic measurement of loudspeaker parameters
  • Execution of test measurements with acoustic transmission tubes
  • Integration of additional functions into a loudspeaker measuring station
  • Carrying out stray magnetic field investigations and comparisons with simulations
  • Measurement of the complex modulus of elasticity of viscoelastic materials with a laser vibrometer

 

Our requirements for you:

  • You will study either electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mechatronics or materials engineering. We prefer if you are already in an advanced course of study (from the 4th semester)
  • You have at least 20 weeks for your internship with us
  • You have basic knowledge of acoustics, measurement technology, numerical simulation methods and signal processing
  • You have basic programming skills. MATLAB is preferred for most projects, but not necessary for all. Software knowledge of COMSOL or other FEM software is also desirable
  • You work in a goal-oriented and independent manner
  • Working in a team is important to you and you show a high level of teamwork to support our product development teams in the best possible way
  • We are an international company and employ people from all regions – your good English skills round off your profile
