Product Quality Engineer (m/w/d)
Job responsibilities:
- Facilitation and participation in the design and process FMEA in Singapore Office and at the vendors’ sites.
- Derive the Quality plan with respect to the specifications which needs to be done in close communication with the product management and development.
- Qualification of the products during the different stages of the development cycle.
- Qualification of the manufacturing process at the following stages of the development cycle.
- Assists in performing/deriving accelerated test and automation test in the laboratory.
- Responsible for the system testing which would include test case derivation and execution.
- Analyze and follow-up on market complaints for the appointed products during mass production with collaboration of the team in China.
- Derive the Quality plan for the variant process of the respective products.
- Close collaboration with German and China colleagues on the product qualification.
- Apply existing industrial standards in qualification process and maintain revisions for internal standards including hearing aid standards.
- Provide support in engineering or process change qualification.
- Inculcate quality culture and statistical knowledge within cross functional teams, including building up of suppliers’ capabilities.
- Develop new process and test methods to qualify processes and products.
- Address non-conformances during the development and initial production phase, including market feedback.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with at least 5-8 years of experience in the qualification of consumer electronic products.
- External qualification as a certified quality engineer or certified reliability engineer would be an added advantage.
- Experience in Lithium-polymer cells preferred.
- Familiar with existing industrial standards and applying it in the qualification process.
- Experienced in dealing with various counterparts from other countries during the qualification process.
- Knowledgeable in statistical tools and program (Minitab, ReliaSoft).
- Familiar with the FMEA methodology and ability to lead this process in the team.
- Understanding of reliability testing and methodology would be an advantage.
- Interpretation and inference skills based on the qualification result based on perceived consumer expectation.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Meticulous with an eye for details in the qualification process.
- Willing to travel overseas occasionally.
- Candidate needs to be situated in Germany and speak both German and English fluently.
