Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and managing inventory, storage and transportation of goods to support both internal and external customer requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering new items as needed to keep the inventory fully stocked and supplied to support requirements.
- Purchase necessary MRO materials ensuring availability of parts and supplies.
- Timely and accurate purchases and receipt of materials and supplies are performed through the SAP/ ERP and other direct order systems including e-procurement/e-sourcing applications.
- Receive, unpack and deliver goods, re-stock items as necessary.
- Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer generated reports.
- Move received materials from the point of receipt to storage. Ensure that goods are adequately labelled and stored in accordance with first-in, first-out control and other standard operating procedures. Also complete necessary computer transactions, and ensure that these goods are adequately identified for subsequent use.
- Package and label materials for shipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and documented specific customer requirements.
- Create and issue associated shipping documentation for export shipments and arrange transportation based on company and customer requirements.
- In conjunction with the Senior Buyer, work to optimize the procurement systems, with primary focus on using standard and agreed replenishment techniques to achieve inventory optimization.
What you bring to the team:
- Relevant related field experience (shipping/ receiving/ stockroom)
- Experience handling general stockroom or purchasing activities
- Familiarity with SAP ERP system
- Effective organization skills
- Experience using MS Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Trained in shipping of dangerous goods (nice to have)
