Overview: As the Senior Project Manager Product Reliability you will play a key role in executing Product Failure Analysis and Product Improvement projects, and in supporting new product development teams to ensure Design for Reliability. Contributing to our Product Reliability strategy, and Reporting to the Director Sustaining Engineering, this role is integral to achieving our must-win priority of delivering an optimum customer experience by enhancing product reliability.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage the analysis of product field issues and product improvement projects according to Sonova’s processes
- Use state of the art reliability tools and methods to identify failure modes, manage reliability risks and determine measures for optimization.
- Perform data-driven reliability analysis of existing and future products based on test and field-return data to optimize reliability targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address product reliability improvement opportunities already during the product development phase, using design for reliability tools and methods
- Moderation of FMEA workshops and coordination of mitigation activities
- Support development and continuous improvement of Reliability processes
- Act as NC and CAPA owner according to the respective SOPs
What you bring to the team:
- University degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or a related field of study
- 5+ years of work experience with a combination of product improvement, project management, manufacturing of medical devices, and product quality/reliability
- Experience in design for reliability methods, such as statistical analysis of failure data, reliability test planning (DoE), (D)FMEA, DRBFM, FTA.
- Experience with different problem-solving methods
- Collaborative, goal-oriented, transformation and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and in international teams
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Fitting software; Sales Force experience is a plus
