Technical Services Technician
This role is responsible for the initial build of new development projects as well as assembly of products, and qualification of processes required for OC and GC Manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:

Working as part of the Product Development team, builds, tests and verifies initial prototype models of potential new products.

Participates in Production Trial Runs (PTR) providing comments directly into the SharePoint PTR repository.

Provides feedback as to concerns regarding manufacturability of products and potential difficulties of assembly builds. Recommends improvements /changes to products and/or processes.

Assists in the preparation of assembly instructions and drawings.

Builds or modifies specialized parts or components required by other R&D team leads.

Assembles or modifies specialized parts to be used in production at our main Operating Centers or in support of products and processes in our Group Company labs.

Maintains an inventory of required parts in the prototype area, requesting more parts when inventory requires replenishment.

Performs other duties as required by Manager.
More about you:

College Diploma in Process Design. In the absence of an academic degree, candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a relevant field.

5+ years of experience in a similar role
-
Extensive experience in cross-functional project work and collaboration
-
Experience in working a regulated, medical devices industry
-
Established ability to positively motivate and influence others to build a strong team
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
