Senior Manager Corporate Development and M&A
Ready to move from advising on transactions to owning them?
As Senior Manager Corporate Development & M&A, based in Munich, you will take an active role in executing international M&A transactions and shaping the future portfolio of a global leader in hearing care.
This is a hands-on execution role with real deal ownership. You will drive transactions from initial assessment and business case development through due diligence and transaction execution to signing and closing. Depending on the size and complexity of the transaction, you will lead deals with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with senior leadership on larger strategic transactions.
Working across countries, functions and businesses, you will combine strong financial expertise with commercial judgement to turn strategic opportunities into successful transactions.
More about the role
- Own and execute international M&A transactions end-to-end, from initial assessment and financial analysis through due diligence, transaction documentation, signing and closing.
- Build and challenge financial models, valuations and business cases, translating complex financial and commercial information into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence processes across Finance, Tax, Legal, HR, Commercial, Operations, IT and other relevant functions.
- Drive multiple transaction workstreams and act as the central point of coordination for internal stakeholders, target companies and external advisors.
- Take significant ownership of smaller and mid-sized transactions while working closely with senior Corporate Development leadership on larger and more complex strategic deals.
- Support key transaction milestones, including LOIs, management interactions, transaction documentation and closing activities, with direct exposure to international targets and stakeholders.
- Travel regularly, up to twice per week, to Sonova’s Corporate Headquarters in Stäfa, Switzerland, and/or to acquisition companies and other transaction-related locations.
- Contribute to a broad global transaction portfolio spanning acquisitions, divestitures and minority investments across Sonova’s businesses.
More about you
- 5+ years of relevant M&A / transaction experience, with a strong foundation in Investment Banking, Big Four Transaction / Deal Advisory, Corporate Development or a comparable transaction-focused environment.
- Proven hands-on transaction execution experience, ideally complemented by several years of in-house Corporate Development or M&A experience within an international company.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and business case capabilities, combined with strong financial acumen and confidence working with complex financial information.
- Solid experience in financial and cross-functional due diligence and the ability to independently coordinate multiple workstreams throughout a transaction.
- Strong commercial judgement and business understanding, with the ability to look beyond the numbers and assess products, markets, business models and value-creation potential.
- A proactive, structured and hands-on mindset, with the confidence to take ownership, work independently and engage effectively with senior stakeholders in an international environment.
