Inventory Manager

Inventory Management Specialist 
 

The Inventory Management Specialist will lead inventory operations and performance across our local supply chain. This role combines hands-on inventory control with strategic planning, risk management, digital supply chain integration, and sustainability leadership. As a change agent and the interface between demand and supply planning, you will ensure inventory strategies support service levels, business responsiveness, global standards, and environmental goals. 

Responsibilities 

Inventory Management & Optimization 

  • Manage finished goods inventory across distribution and customer locations. 

  • Align replenishment with supply chain segmentation and product lifecycle. 

  • Balance service and cost by maintaining inventory standards and policies. 

  • Optimize inventory to reduce waste, avoid stockouts, and support sustainability goals. 

Planning & Risk Management 

  • Bridge demand and supply planning to ensure accurate replenishment. 

  • Execute local supply planning and validate forecasts. 

  • Mitigate supply risks with buffers and contingency plans. 

  • Report inventory performance and drive forecast accuracy. 

Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination 

  • Align with suppliers and internal teams to support service and financial targets. 

  • Collaborate across functions to meet business and customer expectations. 

Technology & Analytics 

  • Use digital tools (AI/ML, dashboards, E2E visibility) for data-driven decisions. 

  • Analyze inventory data and lead improvement initiatives. 

Governance & Sustainability 

  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, SOX, and audit requirements. 

  • Promote green logistics, waste reduction, and circular economy practices. 

Change & Improvement Leadership 

  • Lead best practice adoption and process innovation. 

  • Train local teams and contribute to cross-functional improvement projects. 

 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred) 

  • 5+ years of experience in local or regional inventory or supply chain management 

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory planning, supply/demand alignment, and risk mitigation 

  • Strong knowledge of digital supply chain tools, including forecasting platforms, E2E visibility, and advanced analytics 

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) 

  • Familiarity with ABC/XYZ segmentation, green logistics, and sustainable inventory practices 

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is a plus 

 

 

Additional Remarks: This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a global HR Services team supporting employees across multiple countries. The successful candidate will bring a customer-first mindset and a proactive attitude to ensure a seamless HR service experience. 

 

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
