Shipping Team Leader

SHIPPING TEAM LEADER

 

Overview: The Shipping Team Leader for Sonova Canada is responsible for maintaining proper work distribution in the team by organizing and monitoring work flow. 

 

 What you’ll do:

  • Ensure all orders are checked prior to shipment and are shipped on time    
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are being followed 
  • Ensure all files are properly organized and stored
  • Monitor and maintain proper work distribution in the team.
  • Maintain clean and healthy work environment in the team
  • Identify and resolve problems with ordered items with customer service
  • Ensure invoicing problems are communicated and resolved 
  • Organize picking documents for optimal efficiencies 
  • Monitor b/o list and communicate with inventory planning/inventory control regarding availability issues 
  • Work with customer service regarding all delivery issues with customer orders and adjust customer orders for alternate product accordingly
  • Ensure shipping work instructions are documented and followed
  • Enforce compliance with company quality, safety and ESD guidelines
  • Investigate corrective actions and together with other team leads identify / implement solutions according to quality standards 
  • Provide professional communication with other teams and management
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned by Line Manager

 

What you bring to the team:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • 1-2 years experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to lead, assemble and motivate a team
  • Proactive and a hands-on hard worker, performance-oriented 
  • A strong set of personal business values that coincide with the values of the company; must have absolute integrity, high level of ethics and trustworthiness.
  • Flexibility in changing and growth oriented environments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to help team members with technical issues in the functional area
  • Resilient in the face of change and challenge
  • Ability to follow work instructions precisely
  • Proficient Computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
