Teamleader Hardware & Electronic Design Engineer (m/f)

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the lead of the hardware team (30-50%, depending on team size) and for contributing hands-on with PCB design to the development of true-wireless hearable products and accessories (50-70%).

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of highly qualified engineers which spans across multiple disciplines: Mechanical design, Electronic design and Wearing comfort simulation
  • The team develops complete hardware solutions in the speech enhanced hearables market.
  • Strengthen the team and fill knowledge gaps by strategical recruitment
  • Participate in definition of architecture and specification of new platforms and products
  • Contribute to resource planning across projects and teams
  • Technology assessments in relevant domains.
  • Collaboration with development teams in different business units in Stäfa and Wedemark (tools and methods)
  • Electronic design of analog and digital parts of miniaturized Speech Enhancing Hearables, of miniature communication systems, including documentation and verification of electronic systems
  • Support of Project Leaders with planning of electronic design tasks
  • Definition of test plans, analysis of failures
  • Specification of electronic production testing and support of Manufacturing Engineering for the test systems
  • Support of Manufacturing Engineering during industrialization phase
  • Support of the product certification procedure by providing adequate in-house qualification and preparing technical files for submission to the certification laboratory

 

Your profile:

 

  • Engineering Degree (Dipl. or Master ETH / University / FH) or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in Mechanical Design is a plus
  • Hands-on experience (min. 5 years) in electronic circuit design (including soldering, measurement equipment and debugging) using ECAD
  • Understanding of the state-of-the-art electronic development processes, from concept to product
  • Experience in short range electronic / wireless system design
  • Experience with Hardware in part. low power and low voltage, analog and digital design, PCB & IC design
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis, Acoustics/Electroacoustics and developing algorithms in Matlab is a plus
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscope, audio generator/analyzer, audio amplifiers, sound cards, parameter analyzer
  • Solution orientation, willingness to take on responsibility, focus on essentials
  • Flexibility, able to set priorities and to think strategically
  • Fluent in English mandatory, good command of German and/or French is an advantage
