Technical Support Engineer (m/f)

Sonova Communications AG, located in Murten, is a company of the Sonova Group. We are the global market leader and Sonova’s competence center for ultra-miniaturized wireless communication systems. Our product portfolio ranges from communication devices for hearing impaired persons to professional communication solutions for security, industry and broadcast applications.


We want to grow our team to develop leading edge technical solutions and products to delight the consumers of our new Consumer Hearing Business. The team is based primarily in Murten and to a lesser extent in Stäfa. New hires will be preferably based in Murten. Technical Support Engineer (m/f)


In this role you will deliver technical support and training for hearing systems and accessories to Group Companies, Key Accounts and Distributors globally. Main focus will be Roger wireless technology products, which are based on Sonova latest technology and used for effective communication where speech intelligibility is affected. You will be part of Sonova's Technical Support & Education department consisting of 8 people as part of our Manufacturing Engineering, which builds the interface between production and our R&D.


Your tasks


  • Provide technical support for hearing systems and accessories as well as production and repair processes to the international manufacturing and service centers
  • Creation of product service concepts for accessories, communication devices and hearing protections, e.g. Roger products incl. spare parts definition and service instructions
  • Change management related to service processes, incl. active collaboration with Post Launch Engineering, and communication to the stakeholders
  • Support and execute verification and validation activities, and report to the development teams
  • Preparation and presentation of topics related to e.g. Roger products for technical eLearning at products launches or technical updates


Your profile


  • Technical background in electronics or similar
  • Experience in electronic devices manufacturing, repair or support/training, knowhow in measuring techniques is an advantage
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and databases, knowledge of remote assistance
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, experience with document layout software is an advantage
  • Good communication skills; Fluent in English; German is a plus
