Senior Data Architect Azure

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Data Architect to join our team, specializing in Azure-based solutions. In this pivotal role, you will manage all data architect activities from concept to delivery, working closely with the data platform lead. You will collaborate with peers to ensure the timely completion of projects, aligning with data project requirements. As a crucial intermediary between business intelligence and data science, you have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data solutions on Azure, with a focus on leveraging Databricks for data processing, analytics, and machine learning. 

This position is available for candidates in either Rotterdam, Netherlands, or Warsaw, Poland.

Your tasks

• Develop data architecture specifications based on requirements provided by business stakeholders
• Design, implement, and oversee data architectures using Azure Databricks to support large-scale data processing, analytics, and machine learning workloads
• Architect, extract, and transform information from MS D365 systems and different ERP solutions 
• Prepare data structures and assist in implementation on Azure using Microsoft technologies 
• Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Work independently on projects, analyzing complex business processes and translating them into data sources
• Contribute to global Business Intelligence and Analytics architecture decisions and provide consulting services to business units
• Integrate new solutions into existing data governance and authorization frameworks, ensuring compliance with policies and standards

Your profile

• University degree in IT, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in implementations as Microsoft Azure Solution Architecture 
• Extensive experience in project and data management 
• Experience in mapping and building data system landscapes and data marketing processes
• Experience in managing data interfaces as part of a full data pipeline (from sourcing to deployment)
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
