(Senior) Manager Procurement - Category Facilities Management

Sonova is seeking a (senior) manager procurement - category facilities management who brings a fresh and modern outlook to join the organization to partner with the internal stakeholders to achieve a step change in supplier performance, by providing a specific vision and strategic direction across procurement and the business, aligned to the overall strategic needs for the environment and sustainability at Sonova.

 

You will be the procurement business partner for internal stakeholders and hold overall responsibility of the Facilities Management/Mobility category and will be required to deliver exceptional results by developing influential and positive relationships across Sonova globally. You will be accountable for the development and delivery of optimal category strategies for all 3rd party spend and will undertake specific procurement projects/initiatives in order to support Sonova’s wider business objectives.

 

You will be able to demonstrate leadership in a global environment and will be expected to identify and implement significant cost savings and service level harmonization across the global business that enables growth. 

 

Sonova is a fast-paced change organization and it is key that the person joining the team should be able to operate within such an environment.  A knowledge of the wider business challenges and opportunities will be necessary in understanding and driving how the procurement function can help the business deliver its goals.

 

This position is either based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands or in Chicago, United States.

 

Your tasks

  • Work as an integral member of the global procurement team to achieve and maintain upper-quartile performance of the Facility Management (FM) & Mobility suppliers globally. Clear support alignment to the Senior Director Global Facilities on new and current projects with the business
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the wider strategic goals of the global procurement function providing a category vision for FM & Mobility and providing procurement business partnering services to the global facilities function 
  • Provide strong leadership of the FM & Mobility categories, generating a clear sense of vision and purpose that inspires and challenges both the business and supply chain to pursue and deliver that vision
  • Establish strong and influential relationships throughout the FM & Mobility business 
  • Create an environment where ideas are pursued and delivered to improve supplier performance across the Facility Management spectrum
  • Bring best practice procurement policies, service levels, processes, procedures
  • Bring in an attitude that creates an environment of high integrity, trust and commitment

 

Your profile

  • University degree preferred 
  • 5-10 years of procurement/facilities experience in the In-Directs area with specific insight of Facilities Management
  • Change management mindset with experience of driving change within a demanding timeframe
  • Team player collaborating with business stakeholders
  • Ability to turn complex business problems into value creation
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and resolving supplier performance issues
  • Excellent English skills both written and spoken, any other languages are an asset
