Senior Director PMO HI Solution

The Role

The Senior Director PMO HI Solution leads the Project Management Office for HI Solutions, driving consistent and effective project execution across global R&D sites. This role defines and governs design and development standards, processes, and project rituals to ensure that projects achieve their scope, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

The position oversees high-level SOPs and best practices, manages day-to-day project operations, and ensures standardized processes across locations, including Murten, Stäfa, and Kitchener. It also organizes project controlling and reporting, while collaborating closely with other PMOs, the IPMO, and the wider HI Solution organization to ensure alignment and operational excellence.

She / He will be accountable for:

  • Sustain Solution projects in the HI PMO, including strategic roadmap fulfillment. Sustain and manage HI PMO assets over their life cycle.
  • Contribute to Change Management in the HI Solutions.
  • Contribute to succession planning in the HI Solutions.
  • Contribute to operational workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

Organizational Development & Collaboration

  • Contribute to culture and collaboration in the HI Solution. Build a culture of high individual responsibility and ownership.
  • Define organizational setup and interfaces with other business units (AC, AB, CHB).
  • Build global collaboration and effective leadership within the HI Solutions Project Management Office.
  • Establish and foster relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in organizational change projects.

People Leadership

  • Provide line and functional leadership for Project Management Leaders in the R&D sites.

Process, Standards & Infrastructure

  • Define and maintain high-level SOPs for Design and Development, as well as Project Management best practices within HI Solutions.
  • Establish common processes and rituals globally for the sites R&D sites (Murten, Stäfa, Kitchener).
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards for all development activities.
  • Participate in project reviews, approvals, and audits.
  • Accountable for infrastructure budget and cost.
  • Ensure efficient, state-of-the-art infrastructure, tools, and equipment.

 

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Formal technical education with diploma or
  • Higher level science or engineering degree.

Work Experience

  • >5 years' leadership experience in an R&D role.
  • Working in/with international and multi-site teams and organizations.
  • Strategic planning according to business needs.
  • MedTech R&D experience, experience in one or more fields of expertise which are part of the Scape will be an advantage.
