Purpose of the Job

The Market Insights Professional is responsible for generating data-driven insights that guide Korea’s marketing and commercial strategy. This role systematically analyzes market, customer, and performance data; defines key metrics; and translates findings into clear strategic recommendations. The position partners closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, RA/QA, SCM, and Global/Regional teams to ensure that business decisions are grounded in robust insights and aligned with portfolio and channel priorities.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating data-driven market and customer insights that guide marketing and commercial strategy
  • Structuring and tracking core business KPIs, and providing regular performance reviews with clear recommendations
  • Supporting portfolio and channel strategy through market sizing, segmentation, and fact-based analysis
  • Defining measurement frameworks for key launches and campaigns, and evaluating their impact
  • Improving data quality, reporting processes, and insight dashboards in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Partnering with Sales, Finance, and Global/Regional teams to align decisions with both local realities and overall business goals

 

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

Market & customer insights

  • Build and maintain a structured view of the Korean HI market (segment, channel, price tier, indication, reimbursement vs private, etc.).
  • Analyze external market data, competitive activity, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on priority topics (e.g. premium upgrade, self-pay dynamics, channel mix shifts, product mix changes).
  • Translate complex data into clear stories, dashboards, and recommendations for management and cross-functional teams.

 

Business performance & KPI management

  • Design and track core KPIs (volume, ASP, CM1, segment mix, channel mix, launch performance, etc.).
  • Develop regular performance review reports for Management, Marketing, and Sales, highlighting key trends and actions.
  • Build simple forecasting and scenario models that support annual planning and mid-term strategy discussions.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure alignment between insights, forecasts, and financial targets.

 

Strategy support & portfolio / channel planning

  • Support development of annual and mid-term marketing strategies with fact-based analyses and market sizing.
  • Clarify target segments, positioning, and role of each product line across channels (reimbursed, private, multi / international).
  • Prepare strategy documents, management presentations, and business cases for major decisions (launch timing, pricing, channel focus, etc.).

 

Launch & campaign evaluation

  • Define measurement frameworks and KPIs for key launches and campaigns in collaboration with Marketing & Sales.
  • Conduct post-launch / post-campaign reviews to evaluate performance versus objectives and recommend improvements.
  • Provide insights on patient and HCP behavior along the B2B2C journey to improve conversion and upgrade rates.

 

Data infrastructure & process

  • Work with internal teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and standardization (e.g. sales reports, market data, CRM, claims data if available).
  • Establish regular insight/analytics routines (monthly dashboards, quarterly deep-dives, ad-hoc management requests).
  • Document key assumptions, data sources, and methodologies to ensure transparency and continuity.

 

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales and Key Account teams to collect field feedback and validate analytical findings.
  • Collaborate with Global/Regional insight and marketing teams to localize global learnings and share Korea best practices.
  • Facilitate insight-sharing sessions and workshops with internal stakeholders to align on key findings and actions.

BS degree in business, marketing, or related field

 

Further Education

 

MBA or relevant certification (e.g. digital marketing, analytics)

Work Experience

Minimum 7 years of total relevant experience, 4–7 years of experience in market insights, business analytics, strategy or business planning
• Experience working with commercial / marketing teams (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance)

• Experience in medical devices, hearing care or broader healthcare / reimbursement environment
• Experience in a multinational company working with regional / global teams

• Experience supporting portfolio / channel strategy, launch or campaign evaluations

Language(s) / Level

Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

 

IT skills

• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookup, basic modeling)
• Strong PowerPoint skills for management presentations
