Sales Manager
This role holds the responsibility of supporting the rapid expansion of the headphones, soundbars and speech-enhanced hearables under the brand license of Sennheiser with specialist and chain stores channels in Asia markets.
He/she will identify sales opportunities, create interest, drive brand awareness and preferences. He/she establishes relationships, build value, handles objections, create urgency, generates sales cycle and collaborates strategically with the team to significantly contribute to the sales pipeline.
He/she provides strategic leadership in the development, management of the Asia retail operation and supports the team in its effort to maintain the commitment as to the highest standards of customer service. He/she works and collaborates in accordance with the mission and principles of the company, as well as with its business goal.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies and develops direct/distribution opportunities and strategies for market growth.
- Actively engage existing and prospective customers to further define opportunities, develop and closing value proposition for account expansion/acquisition.
- Driving business planning with key accounts to achieve top and bottom-line targets.
- Create an account plan in which targets are translated into specific strategy and actions per account as part of the operational plan of the sales group
- Leads creative business development initiatives, ensure smooth execution and evaluation base on market feedback.
- Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth. Systematically analyses and reports sales results, expectations, market situation, competition landscape, and trends to make proposals for improvement.
- Ensure sufficient resources and manpower allocation in events such as trade shows and customer roadshows.
- Increase revenue by driving sales programs.
- Provide specialist advice, product demonstrations and trainings to channel partners/dealers/staff to ensure they are well-trained and competent to upsell our products.
- Provide details on all new product launches to channel partners so that they can effectively allocate resources to our business.
- Responsible for providing country’s sales forecast, plan shipment of stocks, tracking of performance vs targets and performance.
- Review accuracy of country's forecast & rolling estimates against the business plan, market insights, and phasing.
- Receive weekly/monthly sell-out and stock-on-hand reports from retailers.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years business development experience in consumer audio industry.
- Prior experience in servicing key accounts and distributor partners in Southeast Asia markets/countries.
- In-depth understanding of sales channels, market dynamics, trends etc.
- Channel management and understand retail store operations.
- Good business sense/acumen.
- Experience in sales planning and forecasting.
- Strong interest in consumer audio.
- Strong command of English and strong inter-personal skills
- Self-starter and willingness to be hands-on to be able to rectify and solve problems.
- Able to travel (30% to 40%).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
