Financial Manager Denmark & Finland (Temporary Role)

This is a temporary maternity cover for approximately 14 months, offering an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact within an international and collaborative environment.
As Financial Manager for Denmark and Finland, you will play a key role in ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and operational efficiency across both markets. Working closely with local leadership teams and Nordic Finance, you will oversee statutory accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities in an international environment.

More about the role

 

  • Responsible for local bookkeeping, tax processes, statutory reporting, and corporate documentation for Denmark and Finland 
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting to Group in accordance with IFRS 
  • Prepare monthly P&L reviews versus budget, including financial analysis and management commentary 
  • Drive rolling forecasts, annual budgeting processes, and financial planning activities 
  • Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, ensuring strong compliance and internal controls 
  • Act as a key finance business partner to local management teams, supporting cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives 
  • Support accounting-related matters, supplier agreements, leasing, insurance administration, and collaboration with shared service functions 


More about you

 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally combining audit and Financial Controller/Finance Manager responsibilities 
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls 
  • Experience working in an international or global organization; Nordic market experience is considered an advantage 
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive approach with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with high credibility and integrity 
  • Fluent in English; Fluent in Swedish or another Scandinavian language 
  • Experience working with SAP or other large ERP systems, reporting tools such as Cognos, and advanced Excel skills
