Clinical Studies Manager
As a Clinical Studies Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing audiological and clinical studies to assess the clinical readiness of hearing systems. This includes evaluating the efficacy, limitations, and usability of various functions such as hearing instrument features, signal processing, sound processing, fitting software, and wireless technology.
Your tasks:
- Drive the execution of clinical studies in compliance with local regulations
- Collaborate with relevant partners (i.e., subject matter experts, researchers, business units) to develop evaluation protocols
- Responsible for data collection, data analysis, documentation, reporting, defining conclusions and/or actions to be taken from the clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in hypothesis/objective development & definition of acceptance criteria
- Contribute to the maintenance of clinical databases and study records in accordance with data privacy and good clinical practice
- Contribute to exploration, development, and evaluation activities to assess clinical readiness
- Prepare and/or present clinical findings internally and externally
- Contribute to planning and steering of projects for evaluation of innovation candidates
- Train, support, and provide technical and product/solution knowledge to internal and external customers
- Contribute to activities that foster internal audiological expertise (i.e., chapter, community of practice)
- Hearing evaluation & fitting of hearing devices using standard clinical audiological methods
- Provide guidance and support to team members
Your profile:
- University degree in audiology or hearing instrument technology
- 4-6 years demonstrated experience in planning, design, execution and reporting on clinical studies in Audiology and/or auditory implants
- Knowledge in local medical device regulations
- Background in statistics, methods, and data analysis
- Knowledge of acoustics, Psychoacoustics for normal hearing and hearing loss
- Experience in the design and implementation of clinical trials
- Ability to fit hearing aids
- Experience in hearing-related diagnostic testing
- Fluent in German, very good English skills in both verbal and written communication
