Mechanical Design Engineer
In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about developing new products. In a multidisciplinary team of mechanical-, electronics- and acoustics engineers, you contribute to the continuous development and improvement of our hearing instruments and accessories. You are responsible for the mechanical product design from concept till approval but also including assessments of new technologies on the way. An important part of this role also includes contribution to Post Launch Engineering as well as creation of technical documentation like datasheets.
Your tasks
- Development of hardware components for our Hearing Instruments and accessories from concept until approval for production
- Contribution in technology assessments
- Creation of drawings, datasheets and other engineering data incl. documentation for design reviews
- Verification of components and assemblies incl. documentation
- Contribution to post launch engineering (PLE) projects
- Creation and assessment of IP
Your profile
- Degree of a technical apprenticeship (mechanical design) with further education as HF or FH Engineer
- 3 + years’ experience in mechanical product design of small parts out of thermoplastic, silicon, and metal
- Established know-how in 3D CAD surface modelling, ideally with PTC Creo parametric
- Creative, self-motivated personality and open for new challenges
- Good communication skills and willing to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Fluent in German with good communicational English
