Staefa, Switzerland

Patent Engineer (80%-100%) (m/f/d)

 

In this role, you will become a key partner to inventors, technical experts, patent attorneys and internal stakeholders and an important member of the Patent and Design Rights Team located at the headquarters in Staefa, Switzerland. You will actively contribute to shaping and protecting inventions in the field of hearing devices by supporting the full lifecycle of intellectual property activities. 
You will coordinate and help drive a variety of IP-related processes, ensuring that ideas are captured, evaluated, and transformed into strong patent and design protections. Working closely with inventors, you will play an essential role in turning innovation into valuable IP assets. 

 


In this role you will:

 

  • Support inventors and patent attorneys from initial ideas generation and invention disclosures preparation through patent prosecution and into maintenance and enforcement decisions
  • Review patent publications of in the field of hearing systems and prepare IP landscapes
  • Provide IP training to inventors, technical patent experts and business partners
  • Assist with administrative, organizational and accounting tasks for the Patent and Design Rights Team      

 

More about you: 

 

  • Degree in electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent work experience and a background in at least one of the following technical fields: wireless communication, signal processing and neural networks
  • Corporate experience in international patent practice or project management
  • Strong ability to extract and communicate technical and legal concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to identify, review, and explain patent-related matters and provide IP advice to internal stakeholders Experience in searching and retrieving information from IP databases and registers
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German language skills
