Product Owner Application Fitting Software

Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.

This is your opportunity to work in an agile environment within internationally distributed and passionate teams developing high quality solutions for the medical hearing health care sector. The customer-oriented software you develop is used by health care professionals worldwide to support hearing impaired people on their hearing journey.

As Product Owner (PO) you serve as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders (Experts, Project Leaders, Content Leaders, and other POs) to define, prioritize and accept stories in the team backlog.


Your tasks:

  • Contribute to the vision and roadmap of the product
  • Help the team to understand customer/consumer needs, what their challenges are, what pains and gains they have
  • Maintain and prioritize the team backlog and define acceptance criteria for team’s backlog items
  • Break down epics into stories and tasks for the team
  • Conduct events such as sprint planning, sprint review, and backlog refinement
  • Represent the team to the outside (stream, project, etc.), synchronize with other POs
  • Support feature owners, product managers and other stakeholders in refinement of content and agree on scope and requirements with stakeholders and experts across the organization, starting in early phases
  • Identify, qualify, and communicate risks
  • Demonstrate achievements and progress as part of sprint review/demo events


Your profile:

  • Bachelor University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree is nice to have
  • 5+ years of experience as PO or similar role
  • Experience in software product development and cross-product platforms
  • Certification (Product Owner, SAFe) is a nice to have
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Open-minded person who is self-motivated, proactive with a can-do attitude and result oriented
  • Capability to think in a strategic manner and make progressive decisions
  • Effective communication with stakeholders
  • Empathy, transparency and team player
  • Resilient, adaptable, open minded and confident in navigating change
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, German is a plus
