Quality & Reliability Engineer
Product reliability is your passion. Your many years of experience in the field of hardware engineering will build further on our success. Embedded in an international research and development team, you will support product development projects throughout the different development stages by ensuring reliability requirements and targets are met. Using state of the art reliability tools and analysis methods you will hand in hand work with development engineers to ensure and improve product reliability.
Your tasks
- Provide analysis and qualification methods as well as tests and tools to assess product reliability with focus on mechanical designs and electromechanical components
- Use state of the art reliability tools and methods to identify failure modes, manage reliability risks and determine measures for optimization
- Perform data-driven reliability analysis of existing and future products based on test and field-return data to optimize reliability targets
- Planning, evaluation and documentation of reliability tests including statistical analysis of failure data and failure analysis
- Support development engineers in the application of reliability tools and methods
- Contribute to the reliability competence area at Sonova R&D
Your profile
- University degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- 5+ years of professional work experience in the field of hardware engineering with focus on mechanical design or electromechanical components in a product development environment
- Show a track record of successfully ended projects and tasks
- Experienced in modern reliability methods commonly used in product development, such as statistical analysis of failure data, reliability test planning (DoE), (D)FMEA, DRBFM, FTA
- Familiar with the concepts of life-stress models and physics of failure, as well as root-cause failure analysis and corresponding analysis methods
- Business fluent in English, German is a plus
