Senior Software Engineer - Test Environment

In a professional and international team of software engineers and test automation experts you contribute to the success of Sonova’s state-of-the-art hearing device solutions.

 

In close collaboration with software experts, test automation engineers and developers of various domains you advance our fully automated test environment to the next level. Starting off with today’s testing environment you’ll soon get the opportunity to contribute with your excellent analytical and software engineering skills to a new verification landscape.

 

By mastering state of the art tools and agile processes you confidently operate in a fast evolving and interdisciplinary R&D environment.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Design, implement and maintain software framework components, tools and interfaces for our established fully automated C# based test environment
  • Contribute to conceptual work and development of a new generation of the test environment
  • Develop concepts for new solutions required for the automated verification of the functional embedded features of hearing devices and their interaction with mobile apps and devices, PC applications and accessories
  • Contribute to definition, implementation, execution, evaluation and maintenance of automated tests and support the related test automation engineers of the team
  • Collaborate closely with framework developers, test automation engineers and application experts of various domains in an agile development environment

 

Your profile

 

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline, computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in OOP software engineering (C#, C++, Java, …)
  • Affinity for electronics, mobile devices and wireless communication
  • Experience in an architectural role in embedded software projects or test automation engineering is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze complex systems and design, implement sustainable solutions
  • Passion for high quality as well as organizational, coordinative and lateral leadership skills
  • Systematic, precise and pro-active working attitude 
  • Profound communication skills in English, German is a plus
