Software Engineer Tools & Infrastructure

In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software. From the concept to the deployment phase, you will be engaged in contributing to highly flexible and reliable software and firmware solutions.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, implement and maintain tools for embedded software development focused on audio signal processing. The set of tools supports bare metal abstraction, middle layer frameworks and application-level development. They address the needs arising in embedded software development for a multi-processor embedded hardware system dedicated to signal- and neural-network processing.     

 

Your tasks

 

  • Design, implementation, integration, documentation and maintenance of embedded software development tools for application in context of signal- and neural-network processing
  • Collect and refine requirements as required for design and implementation
  • Actively support the communication and collaboration among the team that develops the tools and the teams that use the tools
  • Contribute to design reviews, leverage best-practices in software development, document and implement guidelines     
  • Contribute to architectural qualities in support of conceptual integrity, modularity and extensibility

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree (MSc/BSc) in electrical engineering, computer science or related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in the development, deployment and maintenance of embedded software systems
  • Proficiency in Python, and experience with Matlab and Simulink
  • Knowledge of at least one of following technologies: C/C++, Docker, Jenkins 
  • Foundational knowledge in Signal- and Neural Network Processing is a plus
  • Service oriented team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
