Software Engineer in Test Automation

Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.

 

This is your opportunity to work in a scaled agile environment within internationally distributed and passionate teams developing high quality solutions for the medical hearing health care sector.

 

As Software Engineer in Test Automation you support the test activities throughout the whole test design and execution process to deliver significant information regarding the actual product quality state.

 

You work in strong collaboration with the software test engineers and support them with automating manual test cases to reduce the manual verification efforts in the production life cycle.

 

Additionally, you run and maintain the test infrastructure like test environments, frameworks, and tools.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Automate and maintain functional regression test cases
  • Support the setup of the central test infrastructure, test automation framework, tools, and virtual machines
  • Execute regression test sets and report relevant findings
  • Ensure a high test coverage
  • Provide high quality test automation services - for example: static code analysis 
  • Ensure the availability of the test infrastructure

 

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering, science, engineering, technology, math or similar 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software development and test automation
  • Practical knowledge about object-oriented programing language, preferred C# and .NET; Rust is a plus
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
  • Familiarity with TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Git, Polarion, NUnit, BDDfy, and Ranorex is a plus
  • Good knowledge of software testing practices and methodologies
  • Good testing knowledge of Windows Applications and Web Applications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills in English; German is a plus
