Senior Director Audiology & Medicalization

As Senior Director Audiology & Medicalization, you will lead the Global Center of Excellence for Medicalization. You will define the Medicalization strategy and drive the innovation pipeline of new services, would will establish partnerships with external suppliers in the medical field and you will identify M&A targets to bring new capabilities and expertise into the company. 

Your tasks

  • Identify potential innovations, key trends and needs in Audiological Service Delivery and collaborate with audiology teams of the Sonova group to drive innovation and transfer new audiological innovations in clinical best practice to be roll-out in our stores
  • Manage a portfolio of audiology innovation projects within Sonova AC in collaboration with GCs/HQ and across Sonova R&D/WHS/AB 
  • Establish partnerships and identify potential acquisition targets in related industries as a strategic action to be able to deliver new services
  • Define and implement measurements to track the effectiveness of new initiatives and the impact on sale
  • Develop audiological quality content to engage the ENT community externally as well as the HCP community internally
  • Participate in Sonova AC Management Meetings (ExComm), represent audiology innovation and clinical best practice and collaborate with various AC stakeholders to achieve business goals
  • Represent Sonova Audiological Care in the Sonova Audiology Innovation Board and participate in joint initiatives
  • Collaborate with Sonova WHS/AB to implement product launches and trainings for the Audiology Care Business
  • Collaborate with AC GC Audiology and Sales teams to ensure a consistent best practice sales approach
  • Identify audiology training/knowledge gaps and collaborate with Sonova AC & WHS GCs/HQ to address these issues
  • Develop and implement an audiological equipment strategy for Sonova AC


Your profile

  • Background in audiology with a university degree in business administration or equivalent 
  • 10+ years of experience in leading cross-functional strategic innovation projects on a global level with a proven track record of successful project deliveries 
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills with a good understanding of IT functions, business processes and organizations
  • Ability to analyse, understand and translate systems across functional divisions in a global group environment 
  • Ability to develop and implement integrated solutions across functional divisions 
  • Ability to build relationships, to work with different cultures and to communicate efficiently on all hierarchy levels 
  • Ability to drive results, to lead, coach and inspire global teams and to promote ideas and creativity
  • Excellent MS Office skills 
  • Fluency in English and German
