Product & Process Engineer
We are seeking a Product and Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Tullamore. In this key role, you will support both local and group projects through pre- and post-product launch activities, managing engineering changes and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. You will collaborate across functions and geographies to implement product and process solutions that align with Sonova’s mission of delivering exceptional quality, efficiency, and innovation to our customers.
More about the role:
- Coordinate post-launch activities and manage product lifecycle engineering projects (PLE/PLM) for Sonova Communications
- Lead and execute cross-functional change projects related to raw materials, products, and production lines
- Identify and implement year-over-year improvements in process efficiency, cost, and product quality
- Propose and support new manufacturing processes, layouts, or technologies to enhance operations
- Initiate and lead cost-saving initiatives through VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects
- Manage and maintain Product Master Data and related manufacturing documentationCoordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure alignment with SOPs and internal standards
- Analyse production data and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders across functions
More about you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional collaboratio
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience working with engineering documentation, ECOs, and master data
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; familiarity with systems like SAP, Smartsolve, or JD Edwards is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English
