Supervisor, Production 

 

Fully responsible for overseeing production assemblers and test technician personnel for multiple shifts.  Execution of material and production plans, manufacturing scheduling and implementation of document and engineering changes into manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team(s) of product builders, ensuring the safety of their employees and assigned area.
  • Ensure all work is performed per documented procedures, quality and compliance standards at all times.
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for personnel to achieve production targets/demand pull service levels; communicates capacity and requirements to meet plans to management.
  • Act as escalation point for any type of troubleshooting, problem or issue during the production process to avoid line down situations.
  • Analyze and drives productivity, WIP and yield through Continuous Improvement methods, such as Kaizen, A3 and 5 Whys.
  • Prepare production reports for management; attends meetings to present performance, such as Daily Management, NCQIT and MPS.
  • Coach new employees, establishes training plans, verifies training records and critical certifications.
  • Set performance objectives and development plans, create employee engagement action plans, manage team member performance, conduct performance appraisals and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Guide the implementation of engineering and documentation changes into the production line.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control and other departments to ensure efficient operation and processes.
  • Define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Perform administrative tasks such as review and approval of timecards, holiday plans, arranging replacements and handling sick leaves.
  • Execute MRB activities as Process Owner for Manufacturing.
  • Perform other duties or special projects, as assigned.
  • Perform job functions in compliance with FDA and TUV regulations, GMP and applicable ISO standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent experience may suffice in lieu of degree.

 

 

 

 

Work Experience

  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in supervision. Preferred within a FDA regulated (Medical Device) environment.

Nice to Have

  • Preferred experience in a lean production environment and medical device

 

 

 

Language(s)/ Level

  • English/ Proficient

 

 

 

 

IT Skills Strong computer skills:

  • MS Office

Nice to Have

  • SAP Background

  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
  • Ability to use hands to handle and feel small parts
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk and reach within hands and arms-length.

This role's pay range is between $75,200yr - $94,000/yr (based on location). This role is also eligible for bonus.
