Overview

 

What you’ll do:

As part of the system test team, the technician will take an essential role of integrating a feature-rich firmware onto the multi-core hardware of the next generation of cochlear implant system. The technician will perform tests that evaluate the performance, the safety, the connectivity, and the robustness characteristics of the design in close cooperation with engineer team members.

         

  • Execute tests that verify the signal processing and data acquisition algorithms that are used to support testing of the speech processor strategies on the cochlear implant
  • Execute test software associated with next generation systems and provide the results of test to the Systems Test Engineers.
  • Provide detailed reports of the results of the executed test.
  • During practice test runs, provide feedback for tests that need adjustments to setup
  • Manage the collection and return of all calibrated test equipment used in the department.
  • Order necessary equipment required for department use.

 

What you bring to the team:

AS degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field

  • 2+ years in test execution
  • 2+ years in set up and tear down of test setups
  • Understanding of Oscilloscopes, DMM, Signal Analyzers, and Power Supplies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional groups to debug and troubleshoot systems issues
  •  Enjoyment in solving problems outside of their area of technical expertise
  •  Strong commitment in product safety and quality

English proficiency

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
