What you’ll do:


The Quality Engineer Tech provides technical expertise to solve problems and work directly with cross functional teams on MRB activities and improvement processes. The Incumbent is expected to develop skills in inspection process development, non-conforming material review and disposition. The role will require the ability to work with greater independence under the supervision of the Sr. Quality Manager.


  • Supports MRB (primarily Incoming inspection and may support manufacturing as needed) for all dispositioning needs and other workload needs (i.e. administrative tasks, cycle counts, scheduling rework, sets up weekly meetings)
  • May be required to perform some inspection duties
  • Provides training to personnel as required (includes demo assessments, etc.)
  • May be required to work on cross functional projects as required
  • Works on continuous improvement activities which directly support the business
  • Active member of NCQIT
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
  • Ensures accomplishment of tasks through effective planning, organizing, of work activities.
  • Prepares thorough and accurate measurement summaries, correspondence, ECO documentation, and tool sketches.
  • May conducts engineering and related studies.
  • Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
  • Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
  • Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
  • May be required to travel between both manufacturing sites as required
  • Able to lift up  to 50lbs.




What you bring to the team:



Assemble small electronic components using manual techniques with minimal supervision using provided work instructions. 


Utilizing processes such as:

1.       Perform general assembly on subassemblies utilizing appropriate assembly procedures

2.       Test subassemblies in electronic test fixtures

3.       Soldering wires, PCBs, and subassemblies. SMT soldering of components as small as 0201.

4.       Component attach using conductive epoxy.

5.       Rework and repair of electronic assemblies

6.       Forming and assembly of flex PCBAs.

7.       Participate in continuous process improvement projects.

8.       Use good judgment and decision-making skills.

9.       Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times.

10.     Collaborates with Engineering to determine root cause of failures and identify potential rework or repair opportunities.

11.     Maintain high ethical standards.

12.     Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs.

13.     Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
