Industrial Audiometric Technician

Workplace Industrial Division at Connect Hearing is wanting a motivated individual to fill the exciting role of full time Mobile Hearing Technician. You will be part of the Workplace Audiological Care team.

 

Successful applicant must reside in Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby or Salmon Arm, BC.

 

Complete training is provided through BCIT and Connect Hearing.

 

Start date is May 14, 2025. We have a 3 week onboarding process.

May 14 to May 16: Observe a mobile hearing technician in BC.

May 19 Travel to Burnaby

May 20 to 23, BCIT Industrial Audiometric Technician course  - Must pass the course to continue on with employment.

May 23 Travel back from Burnaby

May 26 to 30, hands on training with a mobile hearing technician

 

Role description: complete on site industrial workplace hearing tests, in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations, complete respirator fit testing and accurately complete daily, weekly and monthly reports using apps and Office 365.

 

This role requires extensive traveling.  You will be away from home anywhere from  50 to 75% each month. And there will be some weeks that you will work locally in the Okanagan.

Successful applicants have the following skills:

Customer service – you continually strive to provide excellent customer service and exceed our client expectations

Time management – the ability to plan ahead and have the skills to manage a predetermined schedule

Organizational skills – detailed orientated, multiple reports to be completed

Proficient with PC programs and phone apps – strong knowledge of using laptops and phone apps

Desire to travel – due to the geographical area that we cover in BC previous experience with traveling an asset but not required

 

Attributes: tech savvy, honest, punctual, reliable, flexible and extensive long distance business traveling.
