Accounting Coordinator

Position Summary  
Reporting directly to the Controller the Accounting Coordinator is responsible for banking and all employee payment solutions.  This position is the primary back up for the Banking Team Lead role and supports all banking functions at head office and clinic level. 
 

Key Responsibilities and Expectations 
                                
Employee Payment Solutions 

  • Manages Employee Expense Claim program 
  • Supports Corporate Credit Card program 

 

Banking Support  

  •  Reconciliation of all operating accounts 
  • Second point of contact for Banking Administration 
  • Process payments

 

Client Services Approximate

  • Clinic level correspondence 
  • Ticket Management 
  • Oversee External Financing Plan 
  • Review End of Day 


Reporting Approximate

  • Month end closing procedures 

  
Team Involvement Approximate

  • General support throughout Finance Department


Position Specifications 
Personal characteristics:

  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others, both internally and externally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills  
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions to enhance the company’s effectiveness  
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle changing environments with ease
  • Discretion due to involvement with confidential information  

 

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education 
  • Post secondary certification in business administration, accounting or equivalent experience  
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills 
  • Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles  
  • Relevant experience in an office environment  
  • Proficient in MS Office software and internet  
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems an asset
