Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis
Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Sr Manager – Financial Planning (FP&A) and Analysis works closely with multiple areas of the business to lead critical financial decision support and analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Budget, Forecast and Estimate process including,
- Creating and managing a dynamic framework for preparation, analysis, and presentation
- Liaise with functional leaders to gather inputs
- Data compilation and validation of assumptions
- Submission to Corporate HQ through consolidation platform
- Produce monthly departmental management reports and variance analysis
- Facilitate departmental review
- Financial reporting at business unit, segment and national levels
- Strategic decision support
- Leading creation of dynamic financial models for analysis and estimates related to pricing, operational improvements, projects and initiatives
- Identify and apply appropriate quantification and validation methods to determine optimal approach to produce high value business decision support tools
- Develop broad level of business knowledge to perform critical assessment and evaluation
- Compile and present analysis in appropriate, consumable format
- Produce and remit financial reports to Corporate HQ as needed and be functional point of contact for Corporate FP&A team
- Liaise with Operations team to support financial components of analytic team initiatives
- Other adhoc reporting, analysis and special projects as assigned
- Assist in oversight of financial systems in collaboration with IT
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- CPA designation
- Superior analytical skillset and ability to solve complex problems using financial tools
- Proven ability to administer budget and forecasting cycle successfully
- Familiarity with mid-size ERP platform, superior working knowledge of BI data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlikview) and advance Excel skills. Experience with Cognos Analytics including Controller and TM1 platforms an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and influence others and work in a changing environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative business partnerships
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.
