We at Connect Hearing Canada are looking to grow our executive team and are seeking an experienced sales leader to join our organization as Vice President, Sales & Operational Excellence, leading a business where we have a life changing positive impact on customers. This role will lead Sales and Operations for the organization along with the Regional Sales Team and the Operations team in the development of key initiatives and daily operations, engaging all levels of the organization to ensure program adoption. This role is responsible for providing tools, resources and programs that are required to maximize effectiveness and efficiency within the business to achieve key targets.

Our Offering:

Working Location: Corporate Head Office in Victoria, BC (relocation package available if ideal candidate does not currently reside in Victoria) 

Reporting to: Managing Director, Connect Hearing Canada

Competitive Salary: $120,000-170,000 with additional variable compensation

Position Summary:

Sales:

  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes to the sales organization
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization and counsel to the Managing Director in implementing objectives that appropriately reflect Connect Hearing’s business goals
  • Invests in growing leaders up through the organization with strategic planning, financial management, operational oversight & leadership
  • Responsible for timely and equitable assignment of sales and clinic operations targets
  • Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement by partnering with senior leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement and facilitating successful implementation of new programs
  • Responsible for optimal deployment of sales personnel, making recommendations for changing roles, coverage models or team configurations to maximize productivity
  • Works with senior leadership to define performance measurements and performance management programs, aligning reporting, training and incentive programs with these performance priorities
  • Ensures sales reporting and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization and further developed as needed
  • Initiates, implements, and monitors improvement activities aimed at reducing costs, increasing accuracy and efficiency, and both internal and external customer satisfaction

 

Operations:

  • Understanding the technology landscape and development process
  • Successful execution at scale in decentralized operating environment
  • General management and oversight of the Operations departments, including planning, directing and coordinating business operations
  • Direct the Operations department to create operational excellence in our clinics, work with Marketing to assure that brand messaging is properly represented in our clinics

 

People Management:

  • Alignment with leadership principles
  • Inspirational leadership of senior team and clinic staff delivering high engagement
  • Implement development plans, performance reviews, and delivers training as required to direct reports to support improvement with competency and capability of individuals
  • Work with HR and other key stakeholders to drive HCP recruitment efforts

 

Qualifications:

Education/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (required)
  • MBA, preferred
  • Retail healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Patient Management System experience preferred

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years business sales and/or operations responsibility
  • 10+ years people management experience
  • Experience leading national retail for double digit annual growth

Skills/Abilities:

  • Performance analysis capabilities and senior level storytelling, capability to translate strategy into action
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Innovation in client experience delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strategic and analytic aptitude
  • Ability to interact within a team environment across all levels of the organization
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
