Distribution Centre & Logistics Manager

Title:  Distribution Centre & Logistics Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Warrington

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Distribution Centre & Logistics Manager to join our team based in Warrington. As our Distribution Centre & Logistics Manager you will drive continuous improvement to lead and inspire colleagues to achieve our strategic plan, goals and KPI’s.  

 

Key Responsibilities

You will play an important role in the productivity and enhancement of customer experience within the UK Distribution Centre by:

  • Managing distribution to achieve order management performance
  • Managing productivity to meet KPIs, whilst driving continuous improvements to maximise capacity and quality
  • Optimising and managing all processes within the Distribution Centre.
  • Introducing and managing effective import, export and dispatch standard operating procedures.
  • Value stream mapping processes to maximise customer value and eliminate waste, and document ‘Standard Work’ instructions to maintain consistency
  • Continuous improvements utilizing company methodologies including daily management, visual management boards, 5S, Kaizens and JDI improvements to optimize workflows and performance.
  • To ensure the safety and security of all Sonova assets
  • Inspiring and maximising employee engagement and development through appraisals, Hear Me survey action plans and development plans

 

Skills & Experiences

  • Proven experience in a logistics/ warehouse environment
  • Management experience, ideally within DC or logistics
  • Industry recognised shipping qualifications are desirable
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-driven personality with highly analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team player
  • SAP experience
