Business Controlling Analyst

The purpose of the role is to support and be a key contributor to the R&D Controlling team.  Develop and maintain a reporting infrastructure which drives actionable insight into financial performance and R&D projects management. Support the business in terms of performance reporting, budget and estimate planning (data summary and presentation preparation), product performance analysis, defined KPI tracking, monthly reporting package (R&D and GC templates) and ad hoc projects.

 

 

Your tasks:

 

  • Support the global finance & controlling organization with product performance actionable insight and KPIs
  • Build and maintain standard reports and data structures across HI WHS to ensure consistency & efficiency in tracking sales, OPEX, balance sheet, FTEs and other key KPIs
  • Monthly reporting of KPIs including analysis and interpretation of monthly financial performance. Develop ideas for improvement and corrective measures.  Maintain template to support GC monthly and business reviews. 
  • Manage data analysis in terms of sales, OPEX and other financial performance metrics in order to summarize results, determine opportunities/trends and define actions 
  • Support OPEX cost containment and performance against BU measurement (Sales and OPEX)
  • Support global budget process: participate in development and creation of global BU template and summarize global BU 
  • Track success of key initiatives, and identify related risks and opportunities
  • Compilation and presentation of financial results and data
  • Provide financial and analytical support for various ad hoc projects
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners and function project team members to support initiatives and influence change

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • University degree in business administration, finance, or controlling
  • 3-5  years of relevant work experience in controlling, financial analysis A ideally gained in a Marketing or Sales function
  • Experience working for an international / multinational / global company
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis and data driven action planning
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office ( Excel and Power Point) and ERP/BI 
  • Experience with consolidation tool (Cognos, Hyperion) 
  • Strong business acumen 
  • Capable of seeing the big picture and identifying trends 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a multicultural environment
  • Ability / experience in building large scale databases using different data sources
  • Able to plan with multiple timelines and prioritize workload
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
