Director, Total Reward EMEA & LATAM (EMEALA)
Within the Global Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), the Director of Total Reward for EMEALA will be a strategic consultant and leader, responsible for delivering competitive compensation and benefits to Sonova’s employees across the EMEALA region across all Business Units and Functions, including key markets such as Switzerland, Germany, France, UK, Middle East & LATAM.
This role will not only oversee all aspects of compensation and benefits management but will also drive strategic initiatives that align with the organization’s overall business objectives. The position requires a deep understanding of compensation strategies, benefits design, and exceptional consulting skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards, this role will be pivotal in driving reward transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and impact of our Total Rewards programs across the EMEALA region.
Key responsibilities:
Compensation Responsibilities
- Align Sonova’s global Total Rewards strategy and the global COE with the specific needs of the EMEALA region, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations for competitive compensation decisions.
- Maintain regional salary structures and oversee the execution of compensation planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage stock award programs, job grading, and compensation benchmarking across EMEALA markets, leveraging market intelligence to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with Global Mobility to provide compensation guidance for international assignments, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and EU regulations regarding compensation practices, while proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of the pay transparency project for EMEALA, ensuring compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and fostering a culture of transparency and equity in compensation practices.
Benefits Responsibilities
- Lead the design, management, and evaluation of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs across the EMEALA region, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of employees.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure employees understand their benefits and the overall value of the Total Rewards package, fostering engagement and satisfaction.
- Monitor benefits performance and cost trends to ensure market competitiveness and regulatory compliance, providing strategic insights to leadership.
- Oversee leave programs and collaborate on wellness initiatives to promote employee well-being, aligning with organizational culture and values.
Compensation & Benefits Integration
- Ensure alignment between compensation and benefits to support talent acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies, acting as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders.
- Lead internal communications on Total Rewards, representing the EMEALA region in global discussions and advocating for regional needs.
- Manage key projects and drive improvements in compensation and benefits offerings, utilizing project management skills to ensure successful outcomes.
More about you
- 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 8 years’ experience focused on Total Rewards.
- Bachelor’s degree, HR or related field. CCP, GRP, and/or S/PHR certification are a plus.
- Fluency in English. Proficiency in other languages are a plus.
- Proven ability to thrive in a team environment, both as a leader and as an individual contributor, building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and creativity in identifying solutions and driving implementation with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of business models, objectives, financial metrics used in decision making and ability to build business cases to support initiatives.
- Ability to lead and facilitate projects, meetings and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes and results.
- Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence effectively, building alignment and driving decisions across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience within a Shared Service/HR Operations environment, RFP and systems implementation would be preferred.
- Exposure to HCM systems such as ADP Vantage and SAP Success Factors are a plus.
